Why VSI parts are easy to misquote

VSI crushers use rotor and chamber wear parts such as rotor tips, backup tips, distributor plates, upper and lower wear plates, cavity wear plates, feed tubes and trail plates. Similar machine names can still use different rotor versions, opening layouts and fastener arrangements.

For buyers, the practical risk is clear: a wrong shape, weight, hole position or fastening detail can delay installation and may affect rotor balance.

When to plan replacement

• Rotor tips are near the site wear limit or backup tips are exposed.
• Product shape, fines ratio or manufactured sand quality has changed.
• Rotor vibration increases after uneven wear.
• Distributor plate wear causes unstable material distribution.
• Upper or lower wear plates are locally worn through near bolt areas.
• The crusher handles highly abrasive basalt, granite, iron ore or silica-rich stone.

Send the machine nameplate, full rotor photo, individual rotor tip front and side views, installed position photo, distributor plate wear face, upper and lower wear plate photos, back side and bolt-hole photos, casting marks and chamber wear photos.

Yes. Send the machine model, full rotor photo, old-part photos, mounting hole details, back side photos and key dimensions.

Can rotor tips be purchased by brand name only?

No. Brand and model names help identify compatibility, but the rotor type, part shape, hole position and old part photos must still be checked.

Why does the distributor plate matter?

A worn distributor plate can change how material enters the rotor, causing local wear, unstable efficiency and product shape variation.
